Merry Christmas & Hyvää Joulua

Hmmm, Alman mielestä joulu saisi jo tulla... Koko marras-joulukuun aika on mennyt koirien kanssa näyttelyissä, terveystarkastuksissa ym. juosten. Garún lähti Islantiin 10.11.2008 eikä ollut moksiskaan lennoista, vaikka Helsingin ja Reykjavikin välillä oli vielä koneen vaihto Oslossa. Ensilumensa Garún näki Islannissa ja sitä ihmettelimme mekin täällä Suomessa muutamia päiviä. Jyväskylän näyttelyyn lähdimme auttelemaan Wilmaa ja laatuarvostelun erinomainen kera sieltä lähtivät kotiin sekä Alma että Wilma. Helsingin näyttelyyn Alma lähtikin yksin, koska Wilma unohti ilmoittautua mukaan. Wilmalla & perheellä on kyllä tosin nyt muuta jännitettävää, sillä marraskuun lopussa Wilma astutettiin Hiskillä.

Mustikan terveystulokset saapuivat seikkailtuaan jonkun aikaa eksyksissä, mutta odotus palkittiin A/B lonkilla, 0-0 kyynärpäillä ja terveillä silmillä. Suunnitelmissa onkin nyt Mustikan astutus vielä vuoden 2009 puolella, sillä sulhoksi on löytynyt Tintin Rasmus. Myös Liinun, Mopin ja Julian terveystulokset lähtivät positiivisilla odotuksilla Kennelliittoon arvioitavaksi. Samalla reissulla kartutimme koirangeenit-tutkimusta luovuttamalla neljän lammaskoiran verta geenitutkimukseen.

Alkuvuoden 2009 suunnitelmiin kuuluu Turun näyttelyyn osallistuminen 24.1. ja ensiesiintymisensä pentuluokassa tekee silloin Tosca ja Mustikan kanssa näyttäydytään nyt nuortenluokassa.

Hmmm, Alma thinks Christmas should arrive soon... Whole November-December time has gone in dog shows and in health controls etc. Garún flied to Iceland 10.11.2008 and everything went fine even she had to change the plain in Oslo. Garún saw the first snow in Iceland and mother Alma and grandgrandmother Maija in Finland. In Jyväskylä dog show our aim was to help Wilma and as a result both girls, Alma and Wilma, got excellent. In Helsinki dog show Alma was alone because Wilma forgot the whole show. But Wilma and her family have now other things to look forward because Wilma was mated with Hiski in the end of November.

Health results of Mustikka arrived finally after they had been lost for a while. But it was worth waiting because now Mustikka has A/B hips, 0-0 ebows and healthy eyes. We are now planning a litter for Mustikka during year 2009 and as father we have asked Tintti´s Rasmus. Also health results of Liinu, Moppi and Julia looked fine when they were sent to Finnish Kennel Club for final statements. At the same time four Old English Sheepdogs gave blood samples for genetic research purposes. Aim of this koirangeenit-research is to find out genetic background for some illnesses of dogs and even some human illnesses.

In January 2009 we plan to take part to Turku International Dog Show. Tosca takes part for the first time to puppy class and Mustikka will be presented in intermediate class.

In the end we want you to watch our Christmas show which I produced together with Alma, Maija, Garún and Bobi. I wish next year 2009 is as funny for you as was planning of this show for me...
